Register of Directors in Armenia – official record
A register of directors for a company in Armenia lists the directors held against that entity at the corporate registry. The exact fields, the current access regime and the official fee for this record are being confirmed against the primary source. REGISTRUM confirms availability and cost in writing before any order proceeds.
What this document shows
A register of directors, as a document class, typically sets out the directors recorded against a company at the point the extract is drawn. Three elements make up the record. First, the entity itself: its registered name and its identifying number at the registry. Second, the directors: full names, and, where the registry design provides for it, appointment dates and any change of directors on file. Third, the certification: a statement from the issuing body that the extract reflects the entries held on that date. This is sometimes described, informally, as an Armenia register of directors, though the naming varies from source to source.
For Armenia specifically, the field set actually held – whether nationality, residential address or director appointment history appear on the standard extract – is being confirmed against the primary source. REGISTRUM does not assume a field is present because it is common elsewhere. Where a field is confirmed present, it is stated with the source; where it is not yet confirmed, the general form is used here rather than a specific we cannot support.
The record is usually requested for one of several reasons: verifying signing authority before a contract, confirming who may execute a power of attorney on behalf of the company, or supporting an Armenia company document requirement raised by a bank, a counterparty or an immigration authority. A certified Armenia extract of this kind is distinct from a full company file – it addresses directors specifically, not the broader corporate history.
Where the register of directors Armenia extract is ordered together with an apostille or a certified translation, each addition is confirmed separately before the order is placed, because the base extract and its onward form – for use abroad – are two different questions. For an SME exporter, the extract is frequently one item in a wider file of supporting documents, sitting alongside a certificate of incorporation rather than standing on its own.
What it does not show
A register of directors record answers one question only: who currently holds, or has held, the office of director at this entity. It does not show who owns the company. Beneficial ownership – the individuals who ultimately control or benefit from the entity behind its directors – is held, where it exists at all, in a separate beneficial ownership register, not on this extract. Whether that register is open to a public search, restricted to authorities, or closed to a foreign applicant, is a question in its own right, not answered by the directors' record.
The document does not show financial standing: no turnover, no assets, no solvency position. It does not show litigation, insolvency proceedings or court judgments against the entity or its directors, matters held under the law in force in Armenia in separate court and insolvency records. It does not show charges, mortgages or security interests registered against company assets, where such a register exists apart from the directors' record. And it says nothing about whether any listed director is, in practice, still active in that role beyond the date the record was drawn – a register of directors is a snapshot, not a running account.
None of these gaps is a fault in the record; each sits by design in the register meant to hold it, and office and ownership, in particular, are treated as separate questions under the law in force in Armenia. Where a reader needs ownership rather than office, the separate route for beneficial ownership is the correct starting point, not this extract.
How it is obtained
The route runs in three confirmed steps. First, the registry authority responsible for corporate filings in Armenia is asked to confirm that a record exists for the named entity. Second, the access regime for this register – whether the extract issues to any applicant or only to one showing a stated interest – is confirmed against the primary source; this regime is not yet settled in our records and is stated here in the general form rather than as a specific we cannot support. Third, once availability is confirmed, the extract is requested, the fee is confirmed in writing, and the order proceeds only once the requester has agreed both the fee and the expected date.
The official fee applied by the issuing authority in Armenia is being confirmed against the primary source; it is not yet a figure REGISTRUM can state on this page. The same applies to the normal turnaround at the issuing end: it is confirmed at the point of order rather than promised in advance of that confirmation.
Language of issue, and whether an English-language version exists alongside the Armenian original, is likewise being confirmed. So is the question a foreign applicant asks first: whether the extract can be obtained without a local representative, a local electronic signature, or a national identifier held only by Armenian residents. Where any of these is required, REGISTRUM arranges it through a licensed registered agent in the jurisdiction; the requester does not need to hold the identifier personally. Most orders for this extract come from outside Armenia – a compliance team, a corporate secretary, or an exporter's finance department checking signing authority before a contract is signed – and none of these requesters is expected to hold an Armenian national identifier themselves.
Reuse of the extract once delivered follows a per-document regime: each copy is licensed for the matter it was ordered for, and a further matter – a second bank, a second filing – calls for a new order rather than a further copy of the first. The terms in full sit at the reuse and redistribution page linked below.
Price and timeline
Price on request: the fee for this record is confirmed with the requester before any payment is taken, in line with how this page states cost throughout. Apostille, certified translation, courier delivery and rush handling are each available as an addition, confirmed and priced together with the base extract rather than assumed in advance. If the document does not exist in this jurisdiction or cannot be obtained for you, we say so before you pay and we do not take the order.
How long does a register of directors from Armenia take?
The normal turnaround at the issuing end is confirmed at the point of order, because the regime for this register is still being confirmed against the primary source. REGISTRUM states the expected date in writing before the order proceeds, so the requester is not left waiting on an estimate that has not been checked.
Will a Armenia document be accepted abroad without an apostille?
Acceptance abroad is decided by the receiving authority or counterparty, not by REGISTRUM. An apostille, or a further legalisation step where the destination requires it, can be added to the order. Which applies depends on the receiving country, and is confirmed before the addition is booked; REGISTRUM does not promise that any authority abroad will accept the document once issued, and states this plainly before an apostille is added.
What does a register of directors in Armenia not show?
It shows office, not ownership. Beneficial ownership, financial standing, litigation and any charges registered against company assets sit in separate registers, addressed on the limit set out above. A director's listing on this record also says nothing about whether that person remains active in the role after the date the extract was drawn.
Can REGISTRUM obtain this document if I am not based in Armenia?
Yes, in most cases. Where a local representative, a local electronic signature or a national identifier is required at the issuing end, REGISTRUM arranges this through a licensed registered agent in the jurisdiction, so the requester does not need to hold any of these personally. This point is confirmed for each order before it proceeds, alongside the fee and the expected date.
What happens if the register of directors does not exist for my entity?
If the entity cannot be matched at the registry, or the record does not exist in the form requested, REGISTRUM says so before any payment is taken. No fee is charged for an order that cannot be fulfilled, and no partial or best-guess document is issued in its place.
To order this record, state the entity, the jurisdiction and the date you need it by; we confirm availability and the fee before you pay. Readers who would rather handle the request themselves can follow the step-by-step guide at how to get a register of directors in Armenia, which sets out the same steps REGISTRUM follows when it places the order on a requester's behalf.
REGISTRUM obtains and delivers official records issued by public registers and licensed registered agents. This page describes what those records contain and how they are obtained. It is not advice on the legal effect of any record. To order, write to info@registrumfirm.com.
